A Fringe investigation is triggered when a patient at a mental institution undergoes an impromptu brain surgery that unexpectedly leaves his brain exposed. Despite the unthinkable circumstances, the patient’s condition and sanity miraculously improves before the Fringe team arrives. While Agent Dunham and Peter scan surveillance tapes (and Walter enjoys his pudding), Olivia recognizes a familiar face as Thomas Jerome Newton (guest star Sebastian Roche), the leader of the “shape-shifters.” As similar cases stack up, the Fringe team heads back to the lab to determine exactly how patients are being cured. Walter’s brains are put to the test.
Overall, this was another solid episode with a creepy yet intriguing storyline,some great acting and writing.Here are few things that stood out:
-Newton got away from Olivia again leaving her with the following line:“Now I know how weak you are.”
-Olivia confessing to Broyles that she is a failure.

Wyman & Jeff Pinkner.It was a solid episode,too bad we did not have much Walter in it.In all fairness,it was probably one of the best episodes of this season,because it elevated the characters and some questions were answered.Here is a brief presentation of the episode.

Peter, Walter, Olivia and Broyles pursue a strange and deadly occurrence in Philadelphia where a bomb blew up inside a train station but left no trace of any explosive device. The perplexing and unexplained set of circumstances brings Walter back to the lab to examine the human remains where he uncovers an unlikely energy source that triggered the explosion. With the explosive threat of more bombs and links to a classified military project, the intense investigation leads Olivia and Peter to Iraq.
Last week’s episode was very enjoyable but Thursday night revealed that writer David Wilcox and director by Bryan Spicer need to either come up with better ideas or get a better crew because things are getting sloppy and it is beginning to show.

We were hoping for something better from Fringe,after last week’s fiasco well we will have to keep on waiting longer.Although everything was not bad in the episode,the end was interesting,the makeup effects were quite impressive and the emotion was palpable.What are your thoughts on the episode?
